Wow, 2017 has gone so fast! Can’t believe this is my last Jules Just Read blog post of the year!
I’m really surprised at how much of a successful reading month I had in December. With being super busy selling novelty craft buttons during the run-up to Christmas, and travelling up north for a week to attend my brother-in-law’s wedding (and hardly reading a thing the whole time I was in Yorkshire), I was sure I wasn’t going to get much reading done. But then button sales dropped just before Christmas, and I managed to take some time off between Christmas and New Year, so have managed to squeeze plenty of reading in to make up for the first half of the month.
I managed to read 7 novels, 1 book of short stories, 2 short stories, and 2 children’s books (that I bought as gifts for Christmas, but couldn’t resist reading and reviewing them first) 😉
Due to reading a couple of children’s books, I managed my challenge of reading 2 physical books a month. Yay 🙂
In October I read 5 books of the Bible, and only had 62 pages of the Old Testament left to go. I actually read 11 books of the Bible in December and finally finished The Old Testament almost 3 years after starting it. Yippee! 🙂
My other challenge is to keep my NetGalley shelf down to 5 books or less. I’ve done really well with this in recent months, and currently only have 4 books on my shelf. I don’t think I’ll need to make this a challenge in 2018, as I think I’ve finally got my NetGalley obsession under control. Phew!
Happy New Year, folks, and here’s to another year full of bookish adventures ❤ xxx
