A heartwarming, truly wonderful story full of Christmas magic from KIRSTY FERRY. Linked to Kirsty’s Rossetti Mysteries series.
Any wish can be granted with a little bit of Christmas magic…
As a wedding planner at Carrick Park Hotel Ailsa McCormack has devoted herself to making sure couples get their perfect day, but just occasionally that comes at a price – in this case, organising a Christmas Day wedding at the expense of her own Christmas.
Not that Ailsa minds. There’s something very special about Carrick Park during the festive season and she’s always been fascinated by the past occupants of the place; particularly the beautiful and tragic Ella Carrick, whose striking portrait still hangs at the top of the stairs.
And then an encounter with a tall, handsome and strangely familiar man in the drawing room on Christmas Eve sets off a chain of events that transforms Ailsa’s lonely Christmas into a far more magical occasion than she could have ever imagined…
Oh, what a wonderfully romantic and festive tale this novella was. I’m often a little nervous about reading novellas, as they sometimes seem rushed and lack the depth of a full-length novel, but A Little Bit of Christmas Magic was a joy to read.
I loved the story and the characters. I even had tears in my eyes at the end. Such an emotional story, but in a good way.
For me, this had a feel of Downton Abbey meets A Christmas Carol. But instead of the usual A Christmas Carol feelings of greed, selfishness, and the need to learn lessons, this was a magical tale bursting with love so strong it found its place no matter where or when it appeared.
I loved this quote:
‘You wish on an angel and the wishes are as fragile as their wings.’
This is a truly magical tale perfect for the festive season. Who doesn’t love a little magic at Christmas?
This one definitely comes highly recommended by me and gets all 5 sparkly stars (and if I could add a Christmas tree with an angel on top to go with those 5 stars, I would).
