September was rather a successful reading month for me. I like to aim for an optimistic 10 books, but don’t always reach that target, so I’m pleased that I managed to read 11 books. 5 of those books were 5 star reads too 🙂
My main focus has been on NetGalley books, especially as I was taking part in a number of blog tours, so I’m afraid I failed my challenge to read 2 paperbacks per month, by reading a grand total of zero physical books in September, so no photos of pretty book covers this time, boohoo.
I’ve still not read any of the Bible since April, which is very naughty of me. I must do better!
My other challenge is to keep my NetGalley shelf down to 5 books or less. I managed it for the first time in July, but had already failed by August, by reaching 8 books. I’m pleased to say I’m back down to 5 books again this month. I need to add more to the shelf due to some more blog tours I’ve agreed to do, but will just add a book each time I review another, so will hopefully keep it down to 5 by the end of October. My fear was being unable to resist Christmas books, but by committing to blog tours for most of them, I’ve been forced to read them quickly, which has helped that shelf number stay down 😉
Here are the books I read in September…
