August has been a very busy month with an increase in my paid workload, family visiting and my hubby returning home after working abroad for three months, so I’ve not got through quite as many books as I’d hoped to, but I’m pleased with the quality of books I did manage to read, as all of them were 4 or 5 star reads. I read 7 books in August 🙂
I managed to achieve my challenge to read at least 2 paperbacks a month too. I used my favourite bookmark while reading Frozen Charlotte, which has taken on a slightly creepier feel to it now. Eek!
I’ve not read any of the Bible since April, which is very naughty of me. I must do better!
Last month, for the first time this year I achieved my challenge to get my NetGalley shelf down to 5 books or less. I got it down to just 4 books with no books pending. So I’m slightly ashamed to admit that my NetGalley shelf is already back up to 8 books. Nooo!!! 5 of those books are published in September and I’m on blog tours for 3 of those books, so at least I’ll be forced to keep up with them. Just need to stop adding more. I find it impossible to resist whimsical Christmas books, so the coming months are going to be difficult, lol 😉
Here are the books I read in August…
